The Grimm MU2

My loaner Stealth Octava-T is out on loan. But I believe @minnesotafats has one he is not using at the moment. Ask and ye shall receive. He is a good guy. And the Octava-T has to be the top or very close to the top from anyone. Greg has one now. Fits right into the MU2 nice and neat.

Pro tip. If you wait until after you get the PZ installed, switching to a new expensive cable will be masked by All That New Stuff you just heard. Mmmmmmmmm

Thanks Al! When I’m mentally ready, I’ll reach out

No No NOOO!
I know what I’m doing.
Very soon now you will stop thinking about cables. They will slip from your mind. The very best cable test you can do is to send a great one back to its owner. A few days later, you get over it.

@aangen is correct. A floor remodel at the house is causing a 6 week system deconstruction. The aforementioned Stealth cable is available for your temptation from mid September to around the end of October if you desire.

Doing the math carefully, it seems that over the course of a year the days of ā€œrunning inā€ have exceeded (and not by a little) the days of ā€œnormal useā€!

How I understand that, my friend!

I do not remember when my system was completely settled since I joined this group.

Didn’t Da Vinci say ā€œArt is never finished, only abandoned?ā€

Then, according to Da Vinci, after my next upgrade, I will be abandoning my upgrading audiophile art

Ok, follow this theme that ā€œan audiophiles work is never doneā€, I currently am down in anticipation of the PZ and most of my other gear is on temporary loan.
The upside is that can do other stuff in anticipation of better things, like, make a new shelf. This will fill the void left by the P20 behemoth and give me a place for the PZ and maybe some new smaller stuff, like my Muon Pro filter, or a Tempus, or a CAD ground block,
or….the beat goes on.

Nice project! That rack blends in nicely in your room. Will you place it on the front wall, or to the side?

BTW, funny how the speaker seems to have a custom finish! :grinning:

Lots of coats of lacquer according to Chis, I believe.
The rack will be in front of the diffusers. Long term plan is to move walls and make a bigger room, but it is getting marital resistance.

Don’t forget the big speaker footers you’re supposed to get. You’ll be surprised how much more you will hear from FR30.

Yup, that’s on the list thanks to you.

Take your time putting all together. The latest news (as of 10 minutes ago) on PZ is that all units will be shipped in mid-September. I am in CA which means I will receive it later than buyers at East Coast (assuming they are shipped from there).

Luca has to wait a bit longer to hear how great it is from us.

Great looking shelving unit. What did you make it from and how is it constructed?

…or HRS shelves.

I’m camped out at Kyomi’s front door in eager anticipation.
