The C7 market exploded after Covid. The prices are still high imo but yes I recall the 21 prices of the C8. My friend purchased his new from Kerbeck in New Jersey (we live in the Chicago burbs) paid sticker which was $82k. Chose the R8C NCM delivery. So we drove the C8 from Bowling Green back to IL with New Jersey temp plates! The museum experience was incredible VIP treatment and tours. $75k is a bargain for a Z51 C8. I’m happy to see the prices are stabilizing for the C8! Enjoy!!

This vehicle and the guy who designed it are quite amazing.

$75K is out the door after everything, paid cash. Essentially got the Z51 and magnetic ride for free. In 2021 it was crazy paying $100K for the same car. We had the money; however, not paying that kind of money. So bought a Cadillac XT5, BMW Z4, MB SL43R, and MB E450 cabriolet before circling back to the C8 Z51. All in all the path to the C8 was fun and worth it….

Your friend’s car looks great! The museum pick up must have been really cool.

My friends also has the mag ride after I told him it was a must have option. He was supposed to take delivery in October/November. Chevrolet decided to discontinue Zeus Bronze Metallic so he was moved up the wait list for a May delivery! There was a lot of Zeus Bronze C8’s that week in Bowling Green! A cool place to visit if you are ever in Bowling Green, KY!

The mag ride control is amazing. It was first developed by then GM subsidiary Delphi. Now licensed by Ferrari and others.

It is worth reading up on how it works. Elegant design.

Mag ride on the old R8 have shown to last 10-12 years before needing service. So that is not bad at all.

I have smart shocks on one of my race cars (amazing) but chose to have regular coil overs on my street R8.

I can’t quite decide on which model to purchase. Both will be useful in avoiding unpleasant and time consuming traffic jams; but finding parking will be another issue altogether.

@RonP - KEO Blades; however, I have 4iiii non-driveside crank power meter so no on the pedal power meter. However, I just ordered an SRM Origin PM9 w/ PC8 power meter crankset. Should be receiving in the next few weeks. Will share some pics…

I just read that the guy who won the '24 British hillclimb did 610W for 3 minutes. I’m sure I’d throw up at half that in my best days.
