Now no piling on there!

The puppies paid for the FLW home! Btw is the GFCI outlet and cover on the exterior a Frank Lloyd Wright design?

Remember when I said “no more”. Well, this was a local deal here in Phoenix, AZ via a customer of Orchard Audio. He dropped the Ultra Amp off to do some mods and noticed my LP collection and mentioned he has an early 90’s Black Ash (real not fake) Linn Sondek LP12/Ekos Arm/Lingo Power Supply/Benz Micro Ref MC Cart. (wood body). He hadn’t used it in 20 years but bought it new back in '90 or '91. Freshly serviced here in PHX by LMC (didn’t know they service Linny’s). All I had to do was plug it, drop the needle, and play. Didn’t even touch the Stellar Phono’s old custom settings for the Ortofon Quintet Black.

Selling the MoFi Rig but no bites on USA Audio Mart. I’ll repost the ad elsewhere here in the Forums if anyone is interested.

I tried buying a friend’s LP12 last Summer. He wouldn’t let his go so I bought the MoFi rig. I wish I’d met the Gentleman who I bought his LP12 from back then. Paid the same for both rigs !

Now I’m really done.

Oh did I mention the IsoAcoustic Orea Indigo feet ? Made no difference in Sound Quality but looks better than 4 Hockey Pucks (which would have worked just as well IMHO). But this looks much nicer.

Congrats. I love my LP12. As with any turntable, make sure it’s perfectly level. I found mine to be particularly sensitive to this. I use one inch ball bearings on the armboard or inner platter to test.

Yeah I am thinking it’s a rewire. However Windows, Hall Bath, and functional Dumb Waiter in kitchen and cabinets all original.

The natural lightning, layout, space, functionality, and flow is amazing. The house was built from Frank Lloyd Wright plans and was not built by him as contractor. The planned both design and built plan for his cousin in Fort Worth never came to fruition before his cousin passed away.

This is the breeders second weekend house used to facilitate puppy showings and sales. His primary residence is an acreage property on Lake Texoma OK side of Red River. Which has horse breeding and Puppy Breeding facilities. He has discontinued horse breeding due to work versus payout. He has done puppies and dog shows since 1983.

So far, have driven the FR20’s with BHK Pre to M1200 combo, and BHK Pre to Parasound A23+ combo. There are both differences and similarities to the sound, but ultimately, both sound nice with the FR20. Have not tried the full CJ tube pre to CJ tube amp yet, but will sometime this week. The one good thing about having progressed to “amp rolling” (versus tube rolling) is that I think the speaker location is set for now.

Should be here next week. :grinning:

Thanks. I had a strong feeling the XP-22 might very well be the last preamp I’ll buy. So I contacted Mark at Reno and he had one left. It’s not clear if he’ll get any others before retirement. The price was just doable, so it’s mine. None of us are gonna live forever.

Congrats, and welcome to world of Linn. I too have a Lin Sondek LP 12 with an Ittok LVII. No Benz though, just a measly Denon. That Benz is a great match for the Ekos. Enjoy rediscovering your record collection.

Congrats on the Pass Labs XP-22, it’s a stunner! No tube worries either, and I am a tube-aholic.

All in fun, my experience is similar with Shunyata, it goes back to Cardi talking it up, as well as his preference for Iconoclast over Nordost. Of course the results are and will be system dependent.

No mention of MQA in the latest IG post from Bluesound about the new Node X.

Since MQA material only comes from one source I’m sure they’re taking their lead from them in terms of advertising it.

First thing I did when I brought the Table home @RonP. The Gentlemen stuffed carboard slices into the Tonearm board and wedged cardboard under the inner platter for the ride home. One of the cardboards fell inside the case. I very careful lifted the TT above my head and gently moved" it from side to side until I could feel it through the big hole. No harm no foul (language).

The only thing I want to do is change the interconnect cable. Essentially buy a name brand Linn/standard 5 pin connector solder the interconnect wire of my choice. Again this requires removing the bottom cover. Since you can’t just flip it over. I’ll rig up something.

The trampoline effect of the Platter/Tonearm is fun but lifting the tonearm via the cue lever results in the stylus riding the lead out grooves sometimes if I’m not careful. I’m still a novice at this.

if it still does Tidal, it does MQA

My first thought reading that is your anti-skate might need adjustment. When raising the lever, the stylus should lift gently and silently off the record.

The Denon 103 is well regarded, due to its midrange. The Denon DL-304, sacrifices a bit of that 103 midrange warmth for a more spartan sound and extended crystal clear highs. Loaded into my Denon AU-S1 Moving coil transformer the DL-304 really sings!
