I’m comparing the system adding 1 and 2 M-1 fuses.
A) M-1 vs stock fuse in P20, playing records and CDs
B) M-1 in P20 + M-1 vs Purple in BHK Pre, playing records and CDs again
‘- is for deterioration
= is for no improvements
‘+ is for subtle improvement
++ is for improvement
+++ is for remarkable improvement
The score at the bottom shows the average improvement, I found that the second M-1 in BHK Pre can provide half the result of the first fuse in P20. Then a keeper but not so impactful as the regenerator.

Next step will be a third M-1 in SPP, so my focus will be only on analog rig.
Thank you Luca! I’m waiting for @aangen to receive his M1 for his Grimm Mu1. I think that’s were my next power cord upgrade and fuse would go on my Auralic Aries G2
Thank you, Luca, for providing such valuable insights with so many details. It is incredible that you can describe these subtle improvements in an easily understandable chart. For that you should be crowned as the King of evaluation!
My system with two M-1 kings mirrors yours, and the second also improved the SQ to a smaller degree. My guess is the fuse may make more impact in BHK pre than PST since there is more current passes through the Pre (a guess really).
I am looking forward to your evaluation on the impact of the third M king.
Amazing chart! You can tell at a glance what each M-1 is doing. Pretty much correlates to what I’m hearing also. I have added one of @Vmax’s latest tweaks to the mix with the suspended sorbothane to power cord and the sound from this 45 rpm has literally made my jaws dropped. So powerful and real sounding, you must try this recording in 45 rpm.
Did these scores include the sorbothane power cord damping tweak? At one time you were planning on trying to separate all the tweaks from fuses. Or was that just the 3M absorber addition you were holding off for?
Well you don’t have enough hours on the new M-1 fuses in that apex. Need at least 150 hours with more than 1 M-1 fuse. I struggled a bit untl that milestone. So your friend might just have ears beside Bose. Lol
I ‘ll let you know how the SR Purple extra Fuse sounds in my Yamaha pro amp at the Ranch House sounds pushing the 901 series VI over at that other forum.
Yes Vmax the tweak is included both for P20, BHK Pre and SPP. I’m planning to focus first on a third fuse in SPP.
In future maybe I can separate the Orea PC tweak but only under the P20 plug. After that I’m curious to try absorbers (I’m still looking for on the web to be delivered in a decent time to Italy).
I can’t believe Digikey or mouser can’t deliver there quickly. There is enough Leonardo firm’s building electronics they must have some good houses supplying them.
I don’t believe installing a few after market fuses can change your system enough to ruin your system. Trust your own ears, not your friends. No disrespect to your friend’s ears, but I don’t think they are up to par.
Is this the correct one both for P20 “bone” and tuning ring?
A single box contains just one piece, hope it’s enough for intended use: a piece over the P20 cover (I will ever and never open to put anything inside!) and the rest for the ring.
It is obvious those Stealth cables do not have a good relationship with the M kings. I have Stealth serves my DAC and guess what, I do not like the M fuse there as much as at other places.
You must get rid of all those Stealth cables, but keep the M fuses because they make more positive impact to the system
