Are you sure you have the mcontrol app?
I have both mcontrol and mconnect apps and I see the Device setup icon in Mcontrol

The free mcontrol HD app is what you need on the iPad and then Device Setup.
Ah yes, that did the trick , the āControlā version, I only had the MConnect version, on which I wasted $6
Glad it worked out in the end.
Yes, it does work now. Bridge still sucks though
There was / is? an undocumented feature that the snr would not see the bridge update if you have an sd card plugged in the back. If you have one then try removing it and power cycle.
Iāve clicked update button on the DSD and it worked without any issues.
Worked for me also to just press update on DSD.
Just when dac woke up after installing I had a loud PUMP/CRACKLE and POP from the other channel. Phuhā¦seems everything is still ok,no burned tweeters
I forgot to disconnect I2S cables, maybe that was the reason, but it shouldnĀ“t do that anyway.
Installed the update via the mcontrolHD app. Already for a very long time I didnāt listen to DSD tracks anymore, because of the pops/ticks during DSD playback. Itās a good thing that PS Audio not only introduces issues, but also fixes them (although I would appreciate it that the next time it wouldnāt take that long)! This morning I listened to some Patrica Barber and Holly Cole on DSD64. Wonderful!
Knock on wood,Paul.
Everything seems to be fine now.No burst sound when changing res from album to album, nor when paused. No pops with DSD either. Hope will stay like this for next Bridge II update
Thanks again Paul and PSA team.
Still no update available for this intrepid Bridge crosser (user)ā¦
I do not have the latest Snowmass firmware installed, but that should not matter ā correct?
Endeavoring to persevere.
Thanks for letting us know. Glad it worked and sorry it took so long.
Can you contact customer service on Tuesday? We can certainly help.
Sure. Donāt mean to come off as impatient, by the way.
I was looking for help from the denizenās of the fora b/c of the holiday weekend (usually, someone has already experienced and resolved an issue before I do).
If I donāt get it sorted before hand, Iāll make a call next week.
Enjoy your weekend, Paul.
Scott
ItĀ“s been a long time since I used or had installed Bridge2 card ,but right now this plays music, not just sound
Memory can be deceptive but I like what IĀ“m hearing. IĀ“m glad I didnĀ“t get rid of my cardā¦
I had to set the gateway ip-address first in the Bridge setup page. For some reason after a reset itās going back to 0.0.0.0. Is the gateway for the Bridge configured correctly?
Not following you, āWāā¦
Are you referring to the Mcontrol app/player or DS Sr./Bridge II network settings?
FYI, I have made no changes to my Bridge/DS SR. network settings and all is well with functionality ā just no prompt (on the DS Sr. screen) to update the Bridge firmware.
Cheers.
Before the mcontrolHD app noticed an update for the Bridge II, I had to set the gateway on the Bridge setup page on the DirectStream DAC. At the āhomeā screen (with cover art) on the DSD you select the LAN icon and next go to Network settings.
Yep, my Gateway: setting currently reads 0.0.0.0. Secondary DNS is also reading 0.0.0.0. Other lines have settings.
I am pretty ignorant of such things. How do I figure out what the Gateway setting is supposed to be for the DAC?
Thanks.
Scott
My first suggestion would be to set the gateway at the same ip-address as the Primary DNS. Secondary DNS is not important. Most of the time itās something like x.y.1.1 (e.g. 192.168.1.1).
