Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition

Ok so I2S from Red is waaaaay louder than USB from Eversolo. Is that normal?

Aren’t there output level settings on the Eversolo? On the Red they are fixed.

I found it. Volume passthrough

Anyone try this thing as DDC? When I select computer usbc as input the usb output disappears. I use that functionality one and while on the Red.

I am now a fan of Eversolo. Plays dsd256 files flawlessly from a usb flash drive, and sounds fantastic while doing so. Streams Qobuz nicely.
Am using xlr outputs to a BHK Preamp.

Wait I didn’t think it could play dsd256 files without white noise.

It’s fine with any production ready DAC.

Kind of what I thought too. One seems to have problems with more streamer models than ones it doesn’t.

The Eversolo plays the files, converts them to analogue with it’s own internal DAC, then thru xlr to the preamp

I know, wasn’t for your benefit.

There is a $12 Bluetooth remote for this thing. Cool.

I have the remote. I prefer the phone app. The iPad app not so much.

I really did not try the phone app…not sure why? the ipad app was just BIG…buttons big … would make more sense on a phone. If the remote does FF and REW with Roon I like it just for that while sitting in dark and wanting to go to next track.

I’ve been using the iPad app from the get go. Explain why you prefer the phone app, if you please.

The phone app mimics the screen on the DMP-A6 precisely. The iPad app seems like it was created by someone who should not be in the app creation field. To me, the iPad app is useless.

To try the phone app simply download and install it. It’s free and takes less than two minutes to accomplish. If you don’t appreciate it it can be uninstalled.

Sure, I’ll give it a try. Downloaded the iPad app out of habit. I’ve used it because of the screen size.
