Forum just went wonky

@Paul

Nothing complicated or disruptive…suggest you just add “The Hi-Fi Family” to the virtual blank at the end of this:

…and have the Hi-Fi Family content options such as “Forums” and “Copper Magazine” show up as drop-down links one can select to go to.

Thank you for the consideration.

I do like the Octave layout. Just a couple of comments.

I was surprised that “Octave state of the art DSD Studios” at the top of the landing page isn’t hot linked to the Octave studios page.
This is a screen grab of what I see using an iPad. Desktop is fine. I don’t know anything about web design so maybe it’s on my end?

Hey Paul, the new forum looks really nice and is easy to navigate. The only thing I see that’s missing is the accessories category (formerly under “Shop”). Will it come back?

I may not be the best judge considering I do not use Netflix as such am unfamiliar with their website. I do stream films on the Criterion website and like their layout as it tends to be undestated. Here is an example:

Criterion Channel

Overall I think it is nice, but the white background makes things too contrasty for my eyes. Akin to night blindness when driving with oncoming traffic having their Xenon hi-beam on. Maybe a toned down background would help. The individual album presentation, sample tracks, and ability to drill down into the details is great.

Look forward to a few minor adjustments.

AGAIN! For the umpteenth time!

I don’t understand what you are referring to.

Huh?

Is there a way to tighten up the unused space in the red boxes I drew on the below screenshot? It’s about one-third of the page on a Mac/Safari laptop screen. Thanks.

I can’t recall if the track names were visible in the past.

The only PMG firmware listed is for the preamp. Safari/iPadOS 26.

I am behind in posting all the firmware we once had. I will try to fill it in today if time allows.

Good call. Yes, they were.

@Paul not sure if this is related, but see my post on powerplay.

The only accessories we have these days is the Power Port AC receptacle and the tube puller. The Power Port is now under AC power and not sure what to do with the tube puller.

I never needed the tube puller for the BHK pre or 250 so didn’t buy one. I am hoping the 600’s won’t need it before the M800’s are available, any ballpark release date yet ?

Possibly include a tube puller with refurbished BHK items for sale, but you may not want to just give them away, just a thought.

Update and bring back the Power Base with an aesthetic that matches the PMG series of kit…?

I have been collecting them when they show up on the used market at a really good price.

An underrated product, IMO/IME.

Cheers.

Try it now and see what you think

Track titles are back. Thanks for the help.

Good call and I’ll keep this as a reminder but currently nothing I can do about it.
