I’m currently using IRS speakers , considering to get a pair of bhk300, more Interesting, I found a videofrom Paul , In the video he mentioned there is a plan to make bigger amp bhk600 monos , is that true ?

Yes, Paul said the BHK 600’s are coming and we will get a look at them during the up and coming and highly anticipated PS Audio video tour!

Can’t wait :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I just figured out where PS Audio got their idea for handles on the P20. I personally would have made them match the corners of the unit, curved with slightly sloping top and bottom. image

Do you already have a ballpark for the price ?

BHK 600 = BHK 300 x 2

Let’s see how much the final price will be off that equation

I’m guessing $24,998 a pair

I do not. Sorry. Have yet to see a BOM (Bill of materials)

Hmm, current msrp of Luxman m900u is $19,900. Audio Research Reference 160S is $20,000. D’Agostino Progression Stereo $22,000. Gryphon Essence $22,990. Each titans of performance, build quality, reliability, not to mention bling factor.

Will be very interesting to see how these BHK 600s are priced, and whether they sound better than any of the big boys I listed, not to mention the many others out there when you get to $20k msrp.

Even though all of the others are merely stereo amps (not monos), how fun would it be to get all of them in a test room and do A/B comparisons? Wow, that would be something else. I would love to see how they rank 1-5 in a controlled system.

Let’s not forget the trade-in allowance as far as bottom line cost. What exactly we have to trade and what that’s worth, who knows?

The cap on the trade in amount will be a key decision factor for me. I know that we get a credit for later if the cap is exceeded, but that’s not interesting in my case.

Will the BHK 600’s just be larger BHK300s, using generally the same technology just upsized to accomplish the higher power ratings, or will they include an entirety new design approach versus the 300’s, analogous to how the m1200 used a completely different approach (tube front end in that case) versus m700 still in same family?

Normally would just assume the former, but given how the m1200 was so different in design than m700 yet still kept in stellar family albeit at large price increase vs m700, thought a fair question here when people are guessing msrp of $20k or more for bhk600
