New BHK 600?

Agree on the necessity for handles! Each amp will probably be pushing well over 100 lbs. each

Praying to the audio G-d. Please, we really, really like the handles :innocent:
Front meter too, if they can manage that. On the P20 it turns off to preserve power and the screen, or simply for those whom want it off during operation.
Alternatively, I’d be more thrilled with an old fashioned analog dial (like on the Dan D’agostinos).

Will the new BHK amps have adaptive auto bias for the tubes?

Hi @Paul is the summer release still on track, as mentioned in your post from end of March ?

Yup, so far.

I can’t wait to find out what you guys are cooking up.
(And speaking of “cooking up”, does the recipes thread still exist?)

So what I’m ready here is they (600 m) will use the same topology and design principles as the the BHK 300. The 300’s have been out for 4-5 five years now. Has PS Audio discovered anything new since the release of the BHK 300 that will set these new double the power amplifiers apart from their little brother sonically other than power?

Hopefully not! Why mess with a great design?

P.S. I haven’t seen BHK around much lately. Hope you’re well Bascom.

The latest Paul Posts discussed amplifier adaptive biasing. Is there a chance the new BHK 600 will operate class A for the first 10% before switching to A/B?

Just heard the latest insider rumors… new BHK 500/600 ‘WILL NOT’ have a front meter.
I’m cool with this. Won’t stop me from buying it new.

Will the BHK 600’s be displayed at RMAF in October?

I thought Paul said they would be ready this summer?

Paul mentioned the speakers would be at RMAF but didn’t mention the BHK600’s.

Yes, but he did confirm in this thread (May 25th) that the 600’s were scheduled for summer release.

I thought I saw on one of his (Paul McGowan) online interviews with Audio Excellence that the BHK 600 will be at RMAF. I could be wrong tho.

Added cost of meters is not insignificant which are not particularly useful on a power amplifier, especially one this powerful unlikely to come anywhere near maximum output in most home listening environments. Many like the look & are willing to pay for it but many do not & PS Audio’s priority appears to be performance/price over cosmetic bells & whistles.

Yes, we will be demoing the FR30s with a pair of BHK 600s.

Perhaps used…

Recent Paul video on YouTube. Spotted the new PS Audio BHK 500 (clearly seen from photo).
I see three tubes. A pair of perhaps 6922’s and a third tube. What’s type of tube is the middle tube?
