Audiophile fuses puzzle me. When you said the Purple has some aspect that you like better worries me.
When I put back the stock fuse into pre in lieu of the Purple, I was surprised how good it sounded. I wonder if after a while their SQ difference would become indifference, of less of a difference.
I am not ready to switch the Master with stock yet, someone else can try it, but not me!
Hello dchang05, I share your fear. Not that the special treatment with graphene wears off. When I reinstalled a fuse, the difference between time and habit is more noticeable. When I swapped my Hifituning Silver Gold fuse for the Audio magic Ultimate Premier in the power supply for my Switch, I noticed a detailed stage. On the first day, the bass was a bit too pronounced. After a day or two the balance of the bass happened. When I reinserted the Hifituning, the differences were small. I reinstalled the AM Ultimate Premier with the opinion that it plays more detailed and spacious than the Hifituning. In the back of my mind, however, was the thought that the AM cost 6 times the Hifituning fuse. With the AM, I can imagine that blackout fill needs a bit to work. When changing it, I noticed that the AM fuse, new from the box, has magnetic caps (iron). However, the fuse itself has become a magnet when it has been in operation for a long time. You can slightly lift screws with the fuse. magic.
I understand your concern about the SR Master pricing…
While I am at the moment a streamer…therefore I can’t speak
to fuses and streamers.
However one thing should be said…is that the amount of $$$$$ spent
on cables is many times even 10x often times way more than the price of the $600 SR Master fuse and saying you have objection to the pricing is kind of like cutting off a nose to save the image of the face…Sort of like being penny wise but pound foolish…
SR does offer a satisfaction guarantee money back…for users to try without much
loss.
Each has his/her own perception in the matter.
While my Nordost Red Dawn ic xlrs and speaker cables outstanding
and my lowly Pangea AC14SE MkII and AC9 SE MkII also excellent
the employing of the SR Master in my P15 regenerator has made a
profound improvement in my system…
If then with my “lowly cables” there is in my ears this level of improvement
how much more with far higher grade levels of cables…

I do believe in Master fuse. It’s just that I have a few other priorities need to be done first. I am sure I will go back to it once I need a dose of tweaking drug. I am very addicted lately 
The SR You tube Demos I can hear a slight difference betwweem Master and Purple. I got rid od all of my Purple or earlier AM fuses for M-1. The purples always distorted sound i hope the SR Master does better than-demo in convincing it is worth 600 dollars . Watching Demos. I like sound of my M-1 fused system better.
My switch has no fuse but a M-1 in its LOS was worthy of the 260 spent for a M-1. Purple there distorted things worse than any other position.

Interesting about addicitions…are we then similar to AA except that
ours is Audio non Anonymous…

my Audio addictions any at all …it would hurt my toe to kick my amp or

There is no question the M-1 is a more balanced sounding fuse. Before the Master it was the King of fuses out there, and I believe it will improve my switch quite a bit! I should get it by early next week! Cheer
