It will go into the P20 which has the M-1. I really have no complaints with my sound or soundstage these day since everything is wide and deep and no details missing with my tweaked bacch4mac. The big questions for me is can improve upon anything or just make it different?
I do know from tweaking that cables, conductors and RF and EMI reductions all make the most change. Not always good as was an Ali Express pure silver ethernet cable they have yet to return money and I will ave to pursue USPs insurance. Yeah with Ali Express cable all was clear but all images lost depth and tonality and timbre went wonky.
Welcome to the club, and I am sure it does wonder to your system. You will not have the Purple issue I am sure.
I wanted to comment on the continuous improvement from Master because I am sure it contribed to the best SQ in my system lately. But I have made too many changes since then so I am totally confused as of which one made the most improvement lately.
I have not changed anything in awhile. I will use the binaural microphone scans of bachh4mac to see what it does for listening position frequency response. My latest scans are best ever for response and equivalent left to right including ear pinnae effects.
Yes I just do Factory reset weekly or if it raises its head. I haven’t pulled the lid yet. Waiting for APS transformers. I think its a open ground tab to back panel on USB or i2S inputs as Ted suspected. Since factory reset resolves it, has been a non-issue to me.
Until I pull the lid and fix ground tab gaps the issue will remain as a possibility of degradation. The factory reset work around makes it a non issue equivalent to cleaning an album or tape head for best listening experience.
Today I took the SR Master out of the power plant and swapped it with the Purple of my Cambridge Edge NQ. The Edge NQ is a streamer, DAC and preamp. Tonally I would say it’s remained very similar. The display changes. The soundstage moves forward between the speakers. The image becomes slightly narrower. I have the impression that the sound is a bit tighter and fine details are emphasized. It’s not bad what I’m hearing now. But I do miss the spacious, sovereign portrayal with the master in the power plant. First of all, I leave the fuses as they are…an additional master now appeals to me all the more. Greetings Andrew
I forgot which thread that we had the conversation on Zenwave Audio cables, and this is probably not the right place.
Anyway, Dave got back to me that the demo customer will ship PSR-14 to me directly (later this week?), and Dave will forward me 11 later too. I will probably post in Next Upgrade thread. Hopefully my new wall outlet is broken in enough by the time I recieve it.
For PSR-14 I will start with DS MK2 first to compare with Dragon Source, and I will try PSR-11 on both MK2 and P15. The idea is to find if Zenwave PC can complete with Dragon S and HC. Also, which cord is better for source component such as MK2. I probably don’t need to try them on Pre since DAC is more sensitive to PC change.
Then I will try both 11 and 14 on the streamer to see which one works better for the low-power source.
Anyone receive a master fuse with illegible SR markings. If not dose the S 6.3A 250V marking have identical print directionality? Or do you have a black dot external to label.
