This is Ronnie from paul’s post. Been off line for a while dealing with some medical issues. Just wanted to say HI. I did get to see the Gov’t Mule DSOTM tour a couple months back, lasers and all. great show. " By the way which ones mule"

Haven’t heard any of those three albums - I got some -get-on-it- catching up to do…Hasn’t been much quality audio time lately. Fortunately the work shop system is decent and always on. If I’m doing the can do it in your sleep tasks I can listen to new material but if work requires concentration - it’s gotta be familiar tunes.

I used to spend all too much time avoiding my responsibilities to go have fun… now I’m in the opposite mode - payback really IS a …

Heya Ronnie! I hope your medical issues have been replaced with all things good…
I wasn’t aware Gov’t Mule DID a DSOTM release - another one to check out. :slightly_smiling_face:
Nice to see a show - it’s been a few years for me - Toto & Yes was the last gig - other than Jeff Martin (Tea Party) in a local very small venue pub.
The lack of live shows is the only regret I have living in a small(ish) city on an island.

Good to hear from you!

I’m not sure if any of the shows were recorded. They did a summer long tour dedicated to the 50 anniversary of the album. two and half hours of the complete album ,and most of the older PF favorites. There are a lot of examples on Youtube.

I spun that Airbag album last night. That guitar solo at the end of white walls wipes me out every time.

Peter Gabriel is coming to Vancouver in November, I’m tempted… His Secret World Live Bluray concert is by far one of my favorite rotations in the soundroom. Such a great show. He has a unique and very effective way of providing a stage show that is just superb just using his stage musicians. (And what a great line up it is)
Such a good DVD. It is one of those that I rarely listen to the album but the video is such a good experience.

I’ll check that out. I don’t mean to be a sad sack, But I can’t stop thinking about whats happening in Israel today. I was trying to watch the Orioles playoff game today, but couldn’t enjoy it thinking about the carnage over there. It’s easy to take for granted the way we can enjoy our favorite music in relative safety here. On that note I’m going to hit the bed. Have a good evening.

Prog - ish? Prog related let’s say.
If you haven’t heard of Sina - here she is covering DT’s Metropolis. At 14. :flushed:

Bjorn Rhis (spelling) is awesome. There are a lot of PF references (down to his Instagram or YouTube that is Floydian or something similar). Very approachable fellow also.

Back to that album, to me is one of the modern prog masterpieces.

Secret World Live! Yes my favorite concert video so far. I had a chance to see the concert live on a large and also a small venue. The setups for the end luggage belt were different.

I saw the next couple of tours. Loved them. Now, no dates close to me :disappointed:

I personally prefer the prior albums but enjoy it!

Have you listened to Marius’ other efforts?

Yes Ronnie @RCramer i sat down to listen to music and turned the tv on before I started and it is terrible. Some interviews with people that survived the attack at the music festival are quite terrifying.

I called my friend Lior to check in his family and he reports that they are in hiding in a basement or bunker. They are in their late 70’s/80’s and have lived through a lot but, what they have described is plain awful and as they told Lior ā€œthis latest chapter is only startingā€.

Very sad and maddening.
