It is a completely different company with a completely different economy and other product groups. lol
It was probably a while before PS audio offer sound sunglasses or speaker to put on the body in watch size… (7.1) lol

I unsubscribed from Zero’s video’s awhile back as I found his insights very punitive and smug. Darko is getting a bit annoying as well, but palatable. Guttenburg is fun and has a lot of knowledge/experience even tho I sometimes disagree with him (which if fine). PS Audio and Bose is a silly, vengeful comment.
No service and no upgrades made it an easy choice, re Terminator vs the DSD. The DSD is surely one of my favorite hifi expenditures.
What video were you watching?
Maybe we should start with what Bose represents:
Something else? What did those reviewers see as parallels?
IMO PSA is rather a cost/performance leader within true high end…which Bose is not in its market (regarding cost). So it’s hard for me to see what they meant.
Probably meant nothing. Just a flippant, click-bait sort of remark. Here we are, talking about Shawn.
I watch Shawns videos and have heard his remarks about PSAudio.
Shawn is great on a lot of stuff, but he’s very critical of some companies based on communication difficulties or misunderstandings I think from what he’s said on livestreams.
For instance, he slated Buchardts new A500’s purely because he didn’t understand how to use them to which he fully admitted. It also transposed that they didn’t take some of his feedback on the S3 and S4’s.
Seems more of a personal axe to grind than based off any real performance issues.
I respect his work but do take him with a pinch of salt.
Bose was famous for their 901 speakers which were considered quite revolutionary in their time.
Here it is the s400 that acoustically overturns a large HIFI trade fair. Chosen by the fair audience to be the best sound at the fair. Sound is subjective. We all listen differently - that’s why there is so much variety we can choose. I use my ears and not the ears of others or the opinion of others when choosing sound.
Last Friday I was up at Mads’s listening to their new demo room (S300/A700 pic)
More love Michael
I heard Pass Labs is the new Sony.
I’m set on the S300’s for my room, they tick all the boxes I’m looking for in a speaker.
This is a good example of the problem with the Internet. One guy can make a silly statement and get a bunch of people to discuss it as if it weren’t.
Oooo, you got those lovely walnut? cabinets! They’re gorgeous!
Kinda’ like DJT constantly lighting verbal fires and then lobbing cans of gasoline on them.
Lots of people immediately respond but in an earlier time none of the means would exist so it would just be cannon fodder at the tavern next weekend after those that cared read something about it in a newspaper.
As humans we haven’t yet learned how to correctly respond (or not) in the “instant messages heard round the world” atmosphere.
Yes - when I think back decades to learning over time to (occasionally) resist the pull of a 30 second TV commercial by trying to be conscious of what they were up to, and why (manipulating me in various ways to sell me stuff) - and fast forward to now - wow. All in one picture, phrase, caption. Happens before you’re aware of it. And the merit of the thing is judged by how well it accomplishes this.
“PS Audio the new Bose?”
What the…??

Your image is of one of their 901 speakers, not a 301.
Finally I think (but didn’t watch/hear how they said it) they just meant that both are innovative in their field of the market and didn’t think any further…praise for PSA I’d say.
Thank you for the note. I’ll fix that. 901 were great speakers.
