Sooā¦ Plugged mine in tonight. Presumably broken in as Iām the second owner. Iāve never really heard SACD properly; I get it now I guess.
Big difference between the PS Audio generic HDMI (I think it came with one of the older transports) and an AC12. Alas, I need HDMI for my streaming stack tooā¦ What is the best loved hdmi cable for the PST these days?

Donāt choke on whatever youāre eating right now but get two AQ Dragon 48 HDMIās, one for your streamer and one for the PST like me. Itās the end game HDMI cable, believe me, itās really good.
Oh, and while youāre at it get an Audio Magic Ultimate Premier Beeswax fuse put in also. It will make a very good transport into an even better one.
First Iāve heard of it.

Might as well try the Inakustik too. Yes the one I bought is too long but it sounds good and I just coil it up.
I love Inakustik. If not for George Iād have a full loom of it.
I could say similar things about Iconoclast.

Further to this, just to calibrate my credit card bill: does anyone still have an impression of where the PSA AC12 HDMI (a silver cable I believe) fits in the lengthy AQ hierarchy? For instance if I want to just approximately match this level of quality (while I blow my brains out on other parts of the system, for those who doubt my commitment) am I badly served by a Carbon/Vodka? Or maybe the Thunderbird48 is the right place to park for a while.
Meanwhile, the first power cable I grabbed was an AQ Tornado HC. Probably not the best match, although I have no idea how to articulate why power cables make a difference on a transport, but I digressā¦ What are people using? I have some superstar locally-made cables, but they cost as much as the transportā¦ I am definitely not plugging one of those in. What are people using? I think I still have an AC12 (power) kicking around.
Thanks, both. What Inakustik model are yous using? Their line seems oddly to lack any model names, based on my 30+ seconds of research.
With the EU online dealers it is listed as part of the Excellence line. You just have to search around until you find one in stock that will ship to your location.
I moved up from AQ Vodka to Coffee and heard a significant improvement, then the AQ Firebird 48 HDMI kills Coffee. Firebird is closer to Dragon because the only difference is the grounding loop wire that is 10% silver instead of 100%. I would not call Firebird reasonably priced but in terms of performance to Dragon it may well be.

AI could get one Firebird along with his bundle Dragon orders just to compare the difference. His system maybe more revealing than most of us and I got the impression he may not mind to help us out. 
Just pulled the trigger on purchasing PST! Talked to Zach over at PS Audio and a great chat with him about the PST. After a many days of going back and forth about the Jays CDT2-MK3 and the PST I decided to go with the PST considering the promotion, in home try out and warranty PS Audio offers.
I am sure I will be more than pleased and looking very forward to putting this transport into my audio system! Special nod to aangen for his comments and answering a question I had about the Jays and PST in another post!!

Yes that is what I was told but they have all the parts to make the PST. Sounds like the promotion is going well for PSA and they have a bit of a backlog now.

Thanks, this is very useful. Generally speaking in the AQ line I like to go up to the Serious Nosebleed level but not all the way to the Full Hemorrhage.
Meanwhile, Iāve found (most of) my old CDs, many sold after ripping them with Antipodes CX/EX. Iām glad I kept the good ones.
Anyway gotta go canāt talk buying SACDs.
