Swiss Digital Fuse Box, the fuse reinvented

Yes a real steat. One only need another 3 to 5k power cord to make it perform to its ultimate.

I don’t see why one end isn’t an iec connector for a component . At leat you would not need a new aftermarket power cord.

Are people using this to say feed the P20 or directly to a device?

I’m using mine to feed the P15, replacing an Audio Magic M-1.

Indeed the power cords dilemna kept me away from ordering one for the better part of a year. But buying my newest amp eliminated the need for a preamp in my main system (I couldn’t believe it but it did) and I ended up with an extra matching power cord to use. . . and it is a great combination. I also find it complements the sound characteristics of the fuses in use in the system, and one SDFB is all I need.

And on top of that. . . nearly everyone that I have read or corresponded with that uses the “Pigtail” power cord available for this from the maker is quite happy with it.

Knowing my own weakness, I will wait until I have a spare $5k power cord first before trying this thing… Okay, better concentrate on my next tee shot, no more peeking into this forum.

Seems like a good idea to me…but it would be hard to place any other plugs next to it, right…?

I bought two.

First was specified for the PSA P10 regenerator. It resulted in a perceived improvement in my digital source-centric system.

The second is specified for my DS Sr. DAC. I have not installed it yet.

The DS Sr. Is served by the P10.

FYI.

I wonder if that widget is an SSR (solid state relay) with a voltage sensing circuit ahead of the relay. Sounds like a good place for one to be.

Perhaps they design the box with a footprint that allows such space and cord savings.

How about using one of these male 3 prong to male IEC adapter to eliminate one power cord?

“digital”? pTooooooo

Oh my! I immediately ordered similar one from Amazon:

D’Addario Accessories IEC to NEMA Plug Adapter (North America)

I have no idea when I will use this thing, but for $7.99 (40% off) why not? It got a 5-star rating too. Thanks Wayman! One day I will order a digital box to compare with tail and without.

Hand in your super-tweaker audiophile card, Donald! That thing is clearly not of audiophile quality.

Hah! Once a while I enjoy cheap tweaks especially if they work😆 this may be a big if here.

The Positive Feedback review provided by @lonson also compared an adaptor with power cable and noted that the adaptor was inferior in SQ.

It’s a good thing I ordered it from Amazon then.

Just think about how much money we could save if we put one of these on every component and plugged them directly into the wall sans cable.

As much as I enjoy the concept behind this device, and some day I might try one, I am very calm about fuse things these days. The last fuse I bought was the second M-1 for the Gryphon Ethos which I discovered required two.

Nothing for any other Gryphon, Grimm, Bacch, Tambaqui item. One M-1 in the P20. If I get just one Swiss Fuse it will be for the P20.

What am I missing out on with all the stock fuses? One at a time, every so often, that could be doable.

I am going to make a point to ignore the Master.
