System Photos!

Although my main system is equipped with Wilsons, I’ll never sell my ZU Soul Supremes!

Are those Transparent Opus speaker cables?

Yes. I believe so the entire system power, interconnects, and speaker cables are all Transparent.

At the audio shows is not a great place to judge speakers. I can agree Al’s Vivids have better bass than the Estelon’s but in the proper listening environment the Estelon’s don’t lack bass. I can confirm both because I’ve heard both. Even the smallest Excelon in a proper room produce bass that defy logic. Both are incredible speakers! Jamie said he is getting the Estelon Extremes that will be a sonic treat for the ears!

My ‚problem‘ with the Estelons was not too little bass, rather a little too undefined and less controlled on the lower end…so rather too much there than too little.

I agree we can’t optimally judge speakers at shows, that’s clear, but if some sound great at different shows and others rather not, then this at least shows that some are more sensible to less optimal rooms than others.

Have you been holding out? Where does one get the laser show? Those may work good behind my speakers!

Disregard. Amazon

Buyin’ or slummin’ ? I had arranged to pick-up an Innuos Pulse from Jamie until a ZEN fell in my lap at a price that I couldn’t pass on. Purchased a few items from Jamie, and always a pleasure. Have yet to stop in on his new digs, and his return to Palatine.

His new place is nice. His listening room dimensions are scaled to the same size as the Rockport listening room because he sells Rockport speakers also. For being in an office complex it is quite nice.

Slummin for sure!

He most certainly would benefit from more space and separate rooms compared to his Mundelein/Vernon Hills location. Thursdays are usually a good day to visit Audio Experience.

Since they are only open on Thursday and Saturday…lol

You funny, and by appointment, which is what Jamie initially offered when I spoke with him. Typically I can be in the Chicago area on any given Thursday, but with a bum knee, not so much this winter.

It’s a $29 device from Amazon. I also have a $28 device, also from Amazon. I’m like a Teenager once again.

They amuse me. It’s childish but what can I say?

Just for the heck of it, I decided to connect a CAT6 up to the CXN V2 a few minutes ago. I have to admit, this is the first time ever that I have heard an immediate sonic improvement switching over from WiFi to cable.

A bit more solid, a bit more defined, a bit better layering. It even seems to be blacker in quiet passages and between tracks.

Color me impressed!

WiFi would have been my last choice. Choices, choices.

I have two star / nebula projectors as well…

I certainly won’t be going back to WiFi, that’s for sure.

I have the ENOKIK Galaxy projecting behind my system. I don’t use it all of the time as it can be distracting if you want to listen intently. It looks really cool with my McIntosh gear when set to blue swirl with the green LED’s!
