It’s a typical male obsession, feeling the need to demonstrate they have something higher/longer/bigger than others!

The days are over, when people just needed bigger and more shiny equipment case work. They now need a “stack”, not just a bigger single box anymore.

I am downsizing everything analog, as in no more TT, and I will eventually consolidate the Pre and Amp. The digital side is another story. I am really waiting for the next breakthrough of real-time AI room and filter correction. I know it’s coming, it’s just a matter of when. Hopefully it’s either dCS or MSB.

Finished one rabbit hole, and started a new one for you. I myself just finished my last one too. The good news is I have not find a new rabbit hole to dig yet

That sounds interesting. I use two different solutions adding to each other. I do think a binaural microphone is a must as is measurement all over the listening room. Acoustics are a tough nut to crack. An adjustable algorithm would be incredible.

I have implied that Massive was a significant undertaking. That, and we do owe Ted his personal space. Personally I’d not be one to worry about a TSS release date until the DSD Mk II issue list gets sorted out, and the Air Lens hits the street and its likely “bugs” get sorted out. As I recall the TSS is largely based on the DSD Mk II, there fore I view the Mk II as a beta of the TSS.

Can’t disagree with that, but between Massive, family, summer holidays, I’m not surprised he has not been around as much.
