Drip, and these were roasted separately in this case so I could experiment, but often blended first, assuming they can all handle a similar roast, or will come out with interesting variation.
uuhhh–kidding about the Folgers.
Where do you roast? Must be quite fragrant.
I did a project in the 1980’s for Maxwell House to get the roaster smoke out of the air of Hoboken. The residents were going coffee crazy and Townhall said enough is enough.
My solution was to use the roaster off gas to supplement combustion air in their power house. Worked great.
Roaster smoke is some nasty schit, eating away ss registers. yeesh!
Better, hmmm, dunno.
Then there is the caffeine ritual, similar to playing vinyl. As we all know quailty vinyl and coffee go hand in hand.
Speaking of Caffeine:
Yup - I was kidding too. Folgers is like drinking dirt. Roast on a gas grill, perforated stainless steel drum on a spit, 50rpm motor. All the smoke and chaff stays outside, year-round.
Reminds me of Starbucks…
Mighty fine, had one last evening.
Yes indeed, mighty fine…
Interesting, a favorite for me as well. I thought I was clever for coming up with it.
We opened a bottle of 1L Caymus Napa 2018 on July 4th dinner, it tasted sweet but a bit closed in. It will benefit for a few years of aging for sure. If you still have some keep them for a few more years then try.
Just had a great glass of Balvenie Caribbean Case 14 on the rock, and for the price it is hard to beat!
Quality wines of this caliber, do improve with time. I have a half case of it. I have wines that I’ve forgotten in my wine storage unit, that holds 500 bottles, going back to 2004. Even the low pedigree wines benefit. But it’s a rare wine drinker that can wait that long. I’m not getting any younger at 70, so my wine aging days may be limited.
Agree. At 71, the more I age, the less does my wine.
I am a bit younger, I guess in a few years I will start drinking my aged priced wine before I lose my wine tasting buds, like my hearing.
General Charles de Gaulle said: « la vieillesse est un naufrage »: old age is a shipwreck.
Old age is not for the young, or for sissies!
Agreed
Oregon water from the tap. It’s fantastic!
Good water wins every time.
