I have heard the Estelon’s and they do not disappoint! Even what they call their entry level floor standing speakers are very, very good! I don’t think the Diamond Estelon’s sound better then the MBL IMO.

I have an Estelon dealer about 20 minutes from my house. I’ve heard the YB and the Forzas.

Next step - Getting ready to pull the trigger on a PSA S300 amplifier. Going to use my Sprout 100 as the pre for now and possibly add a GainCell DAC in a few months.

I heard the Estelon 2018. They made it into my “great” section.

And there are many good and well regarded speakers I never heard really convincing in shows, like Magico and except for exceptions even Wilson. Probably that’s less due to the absolute speaker quality than due to the care taken with setup and combination at shows. IMO It’s often especially disadvantageous when distributors combine their stuff instead of the right stuff.

I had another 20 amp line installed to run my monoblocks, at the very strong advice of my dealer. Complete waste of money because they definitely sound better powered by my P20.

Heard the Diamonds twice. Quite something. IMO the big Vivids and MBLs are both a touch better, but the Estelons can do so wonderfully in a much more room friendly package.

Well I can say I’ve heard of, but haven’t heard, Playback Designs. At one time Acoustic Sounds represented the brand. They quietly dropped it. Brand rotation happens I suppose. The company seems to fly under the radar. In my neck of the woods Glenn Poor supposedly represents the brand, but I don’t know anybody with experience with their products.
Wow! I’ve had mine for a year or so and cleaned hundreds of records. No issues. I do have the latest version though.

I had the one labeled Pro X. Is that the latest? They need to use a smarter, better version systeme.

The A5 and the Sabrina X I believe are going to be strong competition for the Aspen for people shopping in this general pricing tier
The Aspen may smoke the A5, that remains to be seen. If the Aspens put this kind of hardware (however much credence you give them) on the trophy shelf, I think they (and most other speaker manufactures) would be quite pleased
I hope the FR 30’s are a huge success and provide another option in my preferred price range for speakers. I love the aesthetic and very much look forward to hearing them

Thanks. They seem like a very high quality but low key manufacturer. What reviews I could find send out high praise but lots of reviews give high praise. I am going to do a little more research.

I want to work two more years…maybe. If I manage to make it, not a certainty at all, I’m buying my last pair of speakers as a retirement gift for a long, good career. The A5s are on the short list.
