So you’re figuring… maybe next week? 
My own comparison of M2 and Pink is complete. They are both very nice fuses, but in my system and to my ears the M2 is preferred. The Pink brought a very nice sort of “everything is playing together” kind of feel to ensemble jazz music. The M2 brought a somewhat more spacious, “holographic” quality. Upper frequency extension about the same. Lower frequency extension about the same, with maybe the M2 being a touch more controlled. Either is better than the previous SR’s I’ve tried, and the M1, by no small margin. As should be no surprise the right fit for anyone will be the one that just works better in that given system. In my system the M2 works to my preferences just a bit better. YMMV.

I’m going for the Pink in my P20 because I’m using Pinks and Purples throughout the rest of the system, basically trying to ensure a ‘loom’ of fuses from the same manufacturer.
I was tempted by the good reports of the M2 but the above reason dictated a Pink fuse.
I may be wrong.
I decided some time ago to limit my aftermarket fusing to only the P20. Power cords are already bad enough, but playing with (in my case) 8 additional fuses was to me not worth it. My system already sounds better than pretty dang good. Picking the regen and “playing” there is the extent to which I’ll waste my time with fuses. Life is way too short. It’s an amusing experiment, but doesn’t make or break anything in my system. 
I’m fussy enough that I will want the same fuse on all the gear. The only exception are the amps, which could take a bunch. I ordered three M2’s earlier today for player, streamer/DAC/Pre, and P20. Having Purples and M1’s in the past, I laid low to see what guys like yourself think of the M2 and Pink. If it was inconclusive, I probably would have gotten the M2’s simply on the bases of familiarity. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting.
Oh, and did you go as far as to which direction you favored? I put all my M1’s in with the top of the M inserted in the cap and left them.
Setting limits is a good thing. I admire your discipline.
I am most likely done even considering fuses. The differences they make in my system are not compelling. Six months from now I may no longer have my P20 in my system.
Are you putting one M-2 into Grimm MU2 also? I am interested to hear your thought on that.
Now I have two M-2 fuses in the system, I was surprised how much improvement they made over the previous generation of fuses (M-1, Purple, even Master). Other than Al’s incredible system, most of us should be able to hear the improvement, especially on the quietness.
Yes, I’m putting an M2 in the MU2. I like alliteration. I do hear differences in fuses, but the Purple-M2-Master go-round did not instill much faith in these little buggers. Sounding different doesn’t impress, but sounding better does. The Audio Magic fuse seems to be more consistent and the newer one must be better, right? I would probably be in the front row at P.T. Barnum’s circus.
That’s how had my M1. Interestingly when I tried both orientations with the M2, my wife (my audio safety net 
) and I both preferred the M2 in our system with the “legs” of the M pointing into the cap. Go figure. 
I can still hear major influences in my system: components, speakers, I can always hear their contributions. Fuses sound good (hopefully) bu their influence fades into aural ether soon after.
I understand a Gryphon is in your future.

If I could only figure out how to insert an M2 in my Mutech Hayabusa, as this thing is a Goldilocks Cartridge, just right.
After waiting a week for customs clearance, the 2 Audio Magic M2 fuses finally arrived. They replace 2 Purple Synergistic fuses in my amps that are plugged into the wall.
The comparison is not fair because the 2 fuses are not at the same price and of the same generation.
So no suspense, the M2 is better even without breaking in.
However, the difference is not only qualitative but in the type of “sound”. The Synergistic is more “electric”: nervous and clearer. The Audio Magic is more relaxed, fuller, more organic but may appear less muscular than the Synergistic.
These are therefore two distinct sound philosophies. Choosing a brand will depend on your “hearing preferences” and your system.
The hardest part is waiting 200 to 300 hours of break-in…
I just put in three M2’s in my system. They replaced stock ones in the cd player and DAC, and an M1 in the regenerator. I could have done the audiophile thing, and heard the glory one at a time, but I’m too impatient for that. Even with a few hours in, it has a quieter background and seems more natural. I had a similar result with replacing SR Purples with M1’s. I’m guessing with a weeks burn-in they with get even better. Happy but with that lingering feeling there will be a new kid on the block in the not too distant future.
Save some (at least a little) money over time and invest in a few SDFBs for what you believe is the most critical kit impacting sound quality in your system.
Then, you might be able to stop chasing the next, “best” fuse.

And do not even think about a better pig tail, that right there could be a deep rabbit hole. It is so deep for me that I stopped at one SDFB. 
I have three SDFB because I had three cables to use as “pigtails” that were identical to the OG power cords after them. But darned if I’m not thinking of another as I have a credit with Mark and. . . well each one added is an improvement. I just have to come up with another AC-12 or an AC-10 that I can swap for an AC-12 in another system. As soon as I see a nicely priced one I might pounce.
