I think it’s about time. My system right now sounds as good as it’s ever sounded with one Master fuse in the P20 and a M1 in the MK2. I just ordered my second Master for the MK2. I don’t know if it is going to be any better than the M1, but I have a feeling it will make the MK2 into a MK3. We shall see.
Looking forward to hearing your report. I also have a M-1 in MK2.
The Master in my Mk2 so far seems to make it agnostic as to input sources…
Got my Master Fuse today for the test. Hope to share comparison between QSA Violet and SR Master soon.
Hey Max_smith…
Thanks for offering your comparison…will make a great read!!

In my case a little different…SR master in P15 with an M1 in my Parasound JC5 amp.
I did use the purple a couple of days ago…the M1 went back in the delta with M1 is in my ears
a better choice…dynamics all across the sound scape is a lot better with the M1 in my amp.
Thanks everyone for sharing!!

Last night after struggling to reach the M-1 Fuse in the DS holder in MK2 at bottom of my rack using non Dominant left hand blind install. Frustrated I finally unhooked pulled the unit and flipped the fuse. Slid it back under rehooked connections
I was convinced I heard something remarkably different less mids, more highs, more defined bass , but flatter soundstage despite using Bacch4Mac 3D enhancing DSP.
Scratching my head I listened more. Noticed songs that I knew well had singers or instruments on opposite side of soundstage. I had swapped L and R analog interconnects in blind install confirmed with balance control on DS MK2.
So i fixed that most of mids returned and 3D DSP crosstalk cancellation improved. I still thought something more than M-1 fuse flip in play. So closer look at power cables and the tuning ring on Router whisper power cord had moved off its support and tunig ring slid two inches furher away from back of male lug while left hand fishing previously
Fixed that router power cord tuning and listened. All in all flipping M-1 fuse to your preference on direction imay have helped.
I do think my latest tweak of putting 3M AB7050HF over the exposed back panel end caps of the PS Audio fuse holders on P20 and MK2. Actually dds more goodness than just the fuse flip.
Boils down to is there going to be more gain in new $625 Nickel core JKrichards mK2 output transforners or spending $1200 on Master fuses?
I would say the nickel core transformers will be the bigger gain, but why not have both the fuses and transformers, you’ll probably end up doing that eventually anyway.
I’m informed by the UK importer/distributor that certain QSA fuses (I only asked about 3A, 5A and 13A) are made by Bussmann and relabelled. One in particular that costs £0.30 is being resold for £8,000. There was a double page spread in HiFi+ today advertising them.
QSA is a sister business of Lieder International, a hifi distributor in Hong Kong. Same guy, same addresses. Before coming up with these fuses, he was distributing fuse products by Akiko Audio, amongst other products.
Here is a video (the last one on the shorts page) he posted of him applying his magic treatment - apparently with a little white box and a few tools on his living room floor.
Doesn’t look like 20 years of R&D to me. More like 20 minutes and $20.
The ONLY person who seems to promote these is Clement Perry at Stereotimes. Can see anyone else putting their name to them. Stinks? I’ve sent him a message asking him if the biggest cost of these products is the packaging. He’s not replied yet.
wooow, thanks for your investigation! will check, it’s interesting.
Hey Max_smith
with which piece of gear will you placing your SR Master fuse?
Best wishes
BHK preamp
Thanks
No fuse in my Niagara conditioner, 2 fuses in Directstream DAC, and 2 fuses in Aurender N200. So BHK is the only place that affects all signal path (digital and records).
Finished last round of golf before heading to Japan tomorrow, I have not tried your latest tweak yet.
The Master fuse is great, but there is no discount from anywhere. I will wait for a few months and check with The Cable Co. again. There is no way they can ask full price on it for a long time.
So do you hear any difference with the SR Master fuse?
Best wishes
Hey Max_Smith
Actually not quite…the one place that affects the whole chain the most significantly is the power
source as it determines how all else plugged into it will be fed the power current.
With the Master fuse in the power source feeding all else…will enable current to ebb and flow
more dynamically with far less restriction enabling a much better response to occur with all
other gear being fed by the power source…
From Synergistic Research:
“So you start with a single Master Fuse on your DAC or line conditioner and realize guaranteed results or your money back for the first 30 days. You can then experiment sparingly with additional Master Fuses if you wish to go further. The choice is yours.”
