The SR Master has really settled in. Everything I played seem to sound so much better today! I just pull this DSD256 recording out that I played many times before, but today this recording is really blowing me away how much more open and real it sounds! If I didn’t know it was a digital file, I could swear it was playing from a top end turntable system! It has that kind of resolution and ease to it!

Well, if I do not get my Omega in time, I may as well pull the trigger on the Master. I could not stand all the positive reviews on it from you and David.

While I’m at it, here’s another DSD256 recording I’m playing right now and I never heard it sound so good before! The music is so live and powerful! I feel I can really go mingle with the crowd around the performers because there is such an eerie presence in a large ambient space that sounds so real and really brings you into the recording venue.

Thank you waymanchen11–I ordered the SR Master through The Cable Company a few days ago. Installed into my P20 which my BHK 300’s are plugged into—then played some Roon radio for a bit more than 24 hours…
Holy moly—you are spot on with your reviews on this tweak! The improvement in soundstaging and the glorious mids/tighter bass just draws you into the music! I’m excited playing the next track on my Favorite track list to reveal things in the music that were previously hidden…
Now I have to get one for my P15 which my PSA DS Mk1 is plugged into…

I’m 25 hours into breaking-in a Master Fuse in my Mk2, replacing a Purple. Pretty stunning.
In my experience, the Orange and Purple were all over the place during break-in. At some point they went into what I call the “Technicolor” phase (to me, a good thing) and I always wished that they would stay there, but inevitably they would back off a bit from that presentation as they permanently settled in.
The Master was Technicolor right out of the box and so far it’s tending to stay this way…

I will put my thoughts together on the Master more completely after I think things have settled down, but honestly, so far I am not hearing wide sonic swings as it breaks in. Some have said that the Master doesn’t go through wild sonic swings during break-in.
We shall see.
All the major components in my system have Purple Fuses and most others have trickle down Orange. I’m also running a full Synergistic loom of current or near current cables versions and I run an elaborate SR Active Ground Block setup…

Despite SR’s marketing jargon similar to AQ’s, which I do not care for, SR has some new noteworthy items with technology beyond my comprehension. One of my audio friend was raving about some new SR footers that he had just bought and say he really heard a really nice difference compared to his old IsoAcoustic Orea’s. I may try their footers someday. I am currently using all Orea’s on all my components. I don’t know how they do it, but making a mundane thing like a fuse to sound so good is beyond me.

Please don’t tell me more! You can’t imagine how many Oreas I’m finding these days while I’m dismantling the system before starting the room works (and a zillion of other things). Just collected a pair of carton boxes full of them… The only idea of replacing them is a nightmare!
