I need you to listen to Dirk and I. Rescind that order and get the TEAC!!!
I am sometimes right and Dirk doesn’t comment unless he is certain his words have proper meaning!

Replacing what you previously had, nice that it is coming together for you. What digital cable will you be using?

Maybe you would purchase one for him….

Since CDs are are low priority for me, I got the CDT2. It will do the job nicely for me.

I thought you were getting rid of all those silly silver discs!

I got rid of zillions. But I still have zillions. And they’re not worth the bother of trying to sell them.
So plan b.

Enjoy what you have.
I still need to weed through my duplicate CDs and find a new home for them. Could be fun.

I always found the comically named “jewel” cases esthetically offensive, so all my discs are in zippered cases. And so, impossible to sell to record shops.

I understood the purpose of the CD long box while browsing the record store yesterday. It’s not just for filling record racks; it’s also a practical solution to the inconvenience of searching through the intricate details of CD jewel case spines. This is also why the record store guy is trying to sell them for a low price of $1.

I almost went that direction, but couldn’t find the time. Spent the time purchasing more CDs.

The jewel cases are a PITA.

Actually I don’t mind jewel cases at all. I think they protect the CD better than those cardboard sleeves that are becoming more popular these days. Also, the cardboard boxes are not uniform in size so many don’t fit in the Laserline storage shelves that I use sometimes.

I had those same zippered cases. Caselogic

I prefer the jewel cases. I find that the cardboard cases can scratch the disc and they are a bit of a pain in my experience.
