Thanks. I finally got out of the house after being snowbound a few days and had pancakes.

My AUVA 100s are “Out for Delivery”. :hourglass_flowing_sand:

Let the fun begin.
Looking forward to your comments.

Here’s my first comment - the stated 2 hour delivery window expired 3 hours ago, and the delivery status still says “Out for Delivery”, but no longer states a delivery time window. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Christmas pandemonium!

I was waiting for an Amazon delivery once. The nice thing about the Amazon app is you can sometimes follow the delivery vehicle on a map (as long as the driver doesn’t turn driver location off, which I’m led to understand is not allowed). I was waiting all day for a package, saw on the map the vehicle in my immediate area at the normal time of day when it shows up, and was more and more concerned as it approached nightfall to see it drive further and further away. It eventually stopped at a fried chicken place about 6 miles away, and then from there to what is an Amazon disbursement location nearby. Got the package the next day. The driver must have forgotten to drop it off because of thinking all day about a fried chicken dinner. :man_shrugging:

AUVA feets did arrive, mostly in good shape. The shipping box (a very thin cardboard box, BTW, given the total weight of 8 feet plus accessories) was beat up and gouged in one place, but the inner Stack Audio cartons came out okay with only one corner dent. Not worried about that, but I suggested to Josh that heavy shipments like this from Stack Audio - at least for trans-oceanic shipments - may survive better in a sturdier box.

They’ll probably go on sometime this weekend, after I bring them to Sherwin-Williams and ask then to put them on the paint can shaker. :joy:

Did they come Fed Ex?

It’s definitely worth a few shakes side to side and then a few flat taps on a level surface. Then some rowdy music to help them further settle!

How did you guess?

I’ve played the waiting game with them also.

The damaged box was the giveaway clue though

That means Monday at best IME.
FedEx I assume.

Good boy, as a decent shake shall pay rewards, regardless of what the doubters may tell you.

That’s the ticket.

I’m looking at the M8 fittings I got for my outriggers. They seem awfully long. The thread depth in my outrigger feet pods is 1/2”, maybe 3/4”. These are definitely longer than that.

And I’ve seen references to felt pads under the AUVAs for use while moving them around. Are these offered by Stack Audio, or are people just using such things from like Home Depot?

My AUVA 70s came with the felt pads which I specified with my order. My speakers are on a dense rug, but the flooring underneath would not be safe from spikes, even Stack’s shorter ones. I have toyed with the notion of removing the felt pads somehow for a marginally firmer connection, though I frankly doubt that I’d hear any difference.

I should note that I have yet to utilize the Stack M8 studs on my Fyne F703s; for better or worse, so far I am using the Fyne’s spikes into the AUVA 70s, albeit with careful levelling and ensuring the uniformity of the diagonal loads of the Fyne’s spikes on the AUVA 70s. Just easier that way for now…

Thanks Andy. So when ordered that way, are the felt pads adhered to the bottom of the AUVA footers?

The felt pads came with my 100 too, and they are not adhesive. In fact, I never used them under the footers.

The screws came with the footers were not long enough for my FR30 because I needed them to be tilted (higher in the back) towards my ears. They can go into the footers quite a bit that I remember.
