Since the Orange, SR has launched the Purple and then the Pink.
I’ve had both of these and each one improves on the previous one.
I have one Pink fuse and like what it does in MU2. Interesting to know if anyone ordered a Holographic fuse to compare to the Pink fuse.
But sooner or later I will try it myself, maybe after my Asia trip at the end of the month.
@sheridd2 Hi, I don’t (and probably won’t) have tracking on them, so I assume that they’ll show up by and by. I’m in CA, so they don’t have far to travel.
They will be replacing a Master in my BACCH-SP and Pinks in my AGD Gran Vivaces. I’m not sure which place I’ll try them first…
@sheridd2 My three Holographic Fuses arrived today and so far I just have them replacing the Pinks in my AGD Gran Vivaces MkIV.
So far, very good. Cold out of their boxes, the Holographic Fuses do everything the Pinks do so well, only better, being even more three dimensional, with larger, more rounded images within the stage. The noise floor seems a bit lower as well and, tonally, they seem a just a bit more fleshed out.
More recent iterations of SR fuses don’t seem to exhibit the wild, roller-coaster ride break-in that the Orange and even Purple seemed to display.
I plan to let these cook in the AGDs for a few days before making any further moves fuse-wise…
Perfect, looks like they’lll be a good upgrade.
This is at new installation too which is quite amazing. Most of the fuses in my system took a day to settle and weeks to fully break in. If you hear more improvement after a couple of says then you may force me to break my promise by posting an upgrade in Sept. after our trip. 
I’ve been around the SR fuses merry go round several times, with the advent of the different colors.
If my memory serves me right the last lots have been. blue, black, orange, purple and lastly Pink.
I promised myself with the Pinks I would stay with them.
These reports may have to make me re-consider?
I have my SR Holographic in my Aurender N30SA the past two days, a SR master in my Berkeley 3P Reference DAC, and an AM-M2 in my PMG pre-amp. The install of the SR Holo resulted in an immediate improvement in details and wider and deeper soundstage.
I listen very carefully and also at pretty high volume. The background noise is quieter to a point of non-existent to my ears, yet on some orchestral things with 24/176 resolution like Pictures at an Exhibition, you can now hear a very quiet solo instrument in some very quiet spots that before was not clearly distinct. All of the various instruments in this selection are clearer and easily heard separately if desired, even when they all join together. Vocals again became more defined with better texture and fade out.
Surprising, but my AI said a mix of these fuses is even recommended if you choose the right fuse for the right component. Each one has characteristics that can be synergistic if developed based on the way some components behave. What this will do in 100-200 hours is unknown. If it actually gets better, I would be pleasantly surprised.
@kimeccles Your experience mirrors mine. I am now five days into the Holographic Fuses in my amps and they have continued to progress…
What I like about the more recent SR fuses is that they don’t seem to exhibit the roller-coaster ride that their fuses up through Purple seemed to exhibit. In my experience, their break-in process was not linear. There was always a “perfect spot” along the way that was never where you ended up, though where you ended up was better than the previous versions.
Master, Pink and now Holographic are, to my ears, much more linear in their development.
The Holographic Fuses are simply stunning in my AGD amplifiers.
I’m going to keep the Master Fuses in my BACCH-SP adio and my PhoenixNET switch. My next move will be installing my third Holographic Fuse into the Uptone JS-4 LPS powering my Nucleus+ replacing the Pink in there now.
The Pink fuses are excellent and well balanced across the board, but SR figured out how to improve upon it while developing the power supply for the Quark streamer…
Andy, could you give more detail please, especially helpful if you can compare and contrast the Holo fuse against the Pink?
@sheridd2 In my system and only in my AGD Gran Vivace mono-blocks so far, compared to the Pinks, the Holographic fuses portray a much grander sense of scale within which vocal and instrumental images are clearly layered and hang in space surrounded by air rather than edge. There is greater density of tone overall, and bass is simply stunning in its speed, weight and definition.
One of my audio buddies who is very familiar with the development of my system used the word “majestic” to describe the overall presentation upon hearing it yesterday.
If you like the Pinks, and I certainly had no complaints, you’ll probably love the Holographic Fuses…
Great, another fuse I must try. This forum got me again.
Leaving in a week so I cannot order now, maybe the hot weather in Asia will clear my head, or the heavy shopping from the family will stop me.
For my music system I would need 7, 2 for upfront Isotek and P20 units and 5 for the music components. Gets expensive.
Plus more for the theatre side.
I think I’ll wait for the 3 for 2 offer.
I remember when the Pinks were launched it wasn’t too much later when the 3 for 2 offer arrived?
I think AI is correct about testing a mix of fuses in each component because they act differently soundwise. I had the same experience.
I’ve had 2 Pink fuses which I’ve tried in several components, like a Farad Super3 and my Auralic Altair G2.2, and they didn’t perform well in my system. Super tight and fast but quit lean. To me they where to harsh and took the soul out of the music. To analytical to my taste. I preferred the Purple fuses, they have a warmer presentation with a fuller and more lush midrange and not as bright top end.
Now I’ve got a mix of Purples and QSA Yellows in my system.
Hopefully the new Holographic fuse will outperform the Pink and my Purple so it would be a great upgrade. I would look into it later. 
I just put a Holographic in my MKll DAC and noticed right away better resolution, instruments have a better decay, very delicate. The music seems to come from deep in the speakers. It really is Holographic with no burn in. I guess it can only improve with some more hours on the fuse. It is a real upgrade to your system for $250.
Yesterday Whilst rummaging thru the drawer, I found an AM M2 fuse of the proper specification for my FirstWatt SIT-3 amp. So I tried it. Went back and forth a few times:
slightly better than the stock fuse
no better than the stock fuse
maybe slightly better
not worth the expense or bending over the rack but left it in due to fast approaching lazyness.
The fact that you tried it three times (?) is what counts.
Looks as if it is a bit… con-fuse-ing at times!
Yes. I’m sure if I could find a blind guy it would have been a better test.
